Austin, Texas, Norway - June 7, 2013 - silicon labs (NASDAQ: slab), leader in high performance analog intensive mixed signal IC, today announced that it has signed a final agreement to acquire energy micro, based in Oslo, Norway. Energy micro has the industry's lowest power consumption 32-bit microcontroller products, and is developing multi protocol RF solutions based on the industry-leading arm ® Cortex-M architecture. Energy micro's low-power microcontrollers and RF products are specialized in power sensitive applications, such as the Internet of things (IOT), intelligent energy, home automation, security systems and portable electronic products.
